When will we be on the road to recovery? How do we know if we have bottomed out yet? These are all questions that we ask and the economists can never agree, but once we are into recovery, you know that all of the economist predict correctly the recovery...isn't 20/20 great:)
You think we are on the road to recovery and then one piece of bad news comes out and destroys the weeks of upswing. Don't you just want a few weeks of stability so that people around the world can begin to enjoy their lives again. Even when the recovery hits, people will continue to save and will always look for new ideas. If you are in the US, have you seen the website, MyGroceryDeals.com? Take a look, its starting to gain momentum. Other areas that are growing (actually booming) are those dollar stores. People will cut unnnecessary expenditures. Just look at the automotive and travel industries....those are luxuries.
Hope the road to recovery is soon.

Ideas for Saving Money but Keeping the Same Lifestyle
As I start this new blog, I want it to be an area where people can share ideas on how to save some money, in the good and bad times (as we are in today), without losing too much sleep or their current lifestyle or feeling guilty about providing the necessities to thier families.
I know that there are lots of ways to save money and I am hoping this blog will get some people sharing ideas, such as refinancing debt, (getting cheaper rates), paying off credit cards, you know, the stuff that all financial planners (which I am not) tell us to do. But what about other ways to save $5, $10, $20 a day, without giving up too much of the lifestyle. There will be tradeoffs.
With today's economic situation, everyone is trying different ways to survive. Employers are cutting back on spending and thousands of people are losing their jobs. As people have earned a living and are accustomed to a way of life, how are you coping with the economic situation? Are you keeping to the same habits, going for the daily $3 coffee, out for lunch still or have you cut back and are brown bagging it? Does anyone have ideas that they would like to share?
